Eligibility for Navodaya Vidyalaya 6th Class

• Candidates must be in Class V during the Academic Session 2024 in one of the Govt./Govt. recognised schools in the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is located and admission is sought.
• A candidate for admission must have been born between 01-05-2011 and 30-04-2013. (Both dates are inclusive).
• Candidate must have qualified/passed Class V in the academic session 2024 from a Govt./Govt. recognised school in the district where he/she is seeking admission.

Reservation Criteria for Rural, SC/ST, Female, and Disabled Children

• 03% of seats are also reserved for disabled children, i.e. candidates who are hearing impaired, orthopedically handicapped, or visually handicapped.
• Reservation of seats for SC/ST candidates based on population in the district, but not less than the national average.
• Girls Students: One-third of the seats are reserved for female students.
• 75% of the seats are reserved for within-district applicants from rural areas, with the remaining seats reserved for district applicants from urban areas.
